How To Disable Double Carriage (Line) Return In Thunderbird


OVERVIEW

How to disable the double carriage (line) return in Mozilla Thunderbird when composing an Email.

NOTE: Thunderbird screenshots used are from Mozilla Thunderbird 115.7.0 (64-bit)

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

Open/Start Thunderbird


STEP 2

On the Top Menu, Select Tools

STEP 3

Click on Settings

STEP 4

Click on Composition

STEP 5

Under the Header ‘HTML Style‘, Click the Checkbox labeled ‘Use Paragraph format instead of Body Text by default‘ to Uncheck it.

STEP 6

Close the Settings tab, by Clicking on the X to the Right.

That’s it.

Now when you type an Email, and press Enter, it will do a single line feed instead of double.
